Classic Game Room HD reviews CRUIS’N USA for the Nintendo 64 N64 video game console. How do you misspell Cruising? Cruisin, Cruis’n, Cruisin’, Croosin, Caroosaling? Irregardless this is a driving game from Midway and Nintendo that is like the video game car version of Saved by the Bell. Drive a variety of cars in this arcade style racer like a Ferrari or Corvette Stingray styled racer. The most memorable feature of this game is the music which is…. AWESOME. Mixing porn music with moans and bad techno is a winning combination for this game on the N64. If you’re looking for N64 reviews and an N64 reviewer Classic Game Room is the place to be at to be wit’ da homies watchin da’ reviewz ’bout Cruis’n USA. Drive like a maniac across the United States in the cross-country style truck stop, bowling alley arcade racing game. Girls dance in mini skirts, undress you with their eyes and promise lap dances if you win. Watch footage of girls shakin it with an awesome fake trophy in their hands. CRUZIN. Heck yeah. Classic Game Room is funkier than a plastic tub full of fried chicken an onions. Repeat, this game has awesome music, or by awesome we mean awful music, the worst video game music ever made, which makes it RADICAL AWESOME to the Maxx!

How do you get this game to work on Project 64? The cars are all wireframed.

The arcade is great, this N64 translation is a sloppy mess.

I used to always play this game at a burger joint called Fuddrucker's as a kid (at least, I'm pretty sure it was this game.) That and Ms. PAC-MAN. The Fuddrucker's and Ms. PAC-MAN cabinet are still there, but this game seems to have been replaced with NASCAR Racing.

Ah 1994, the shiz they got away with?! And even in this conversion as well lolz. Midway must of been on something at the time?!! Anyway I have have the strong urge to go and play all 3 games right now!! Back in those days developer didn't take themselves so seriously and released a bunch wacked out stuff! That's why I enjoy 90's arcade-like racers over the o-so boring/dull and highly realistic simulator racing games of the 21st century?! Golden era.

It's too bad that the roadkill feature from the arcade version was left out of this port.

I'm assuming Lord Karnage never had a N64 in the late 90s and so the console in general is unappealing now. I on the other hand grew up on Nintendo and didn't branch out to other consoles until more recently. The N64 was the first console I purchased on my own and Cruis'n USA was one of the first games I bought. I did buy the N64 steering wheel accessory that did add to the experience, but with the N64 controller it was still very playable. My first experience with the game was the arcade at my local theme park. They had two of the cabinets side by side and it was fun to compete with friends. It is definitely an arcade racer and possibly not the best one, but being developed by Midway it was over the top. Back then it was marketed in Nintendo Power and on the console as being for the Nintendo Ultra 64 and it was unlike anything ever seen on a home console. The ported version wasn't exactly the same but it kept a lot of the game intact. So perhaps my fondness of the game and series is nostalgia, but this is one of my all time favorite racers.

the Arcade version is much better. controls, visuals/framerate , and there are animals to hit. plus the girl is wearing bikini when you finish 1st. this isn't a good port

I played this version back when I had my own N64 and I chose Cruise The USA mode; to advance to the next track, all you had to do was get a 1st place finish, and to be awarded a faster vehicle, you have to get 1st place finishes on all tracks.
